/ Welcome
  • Please know that you are welcome at HTOC (that's what we call our parish). We are always honored to have guests to our church.
  • We are here to be of service to you.
  • You won't be asked to do anything you would be uncomfortable doing.
  • We don't expect visitors to contribute anything to the financial support of our parish.
  • Our children worship with us. If you have young children, they are welcome here, too. We have many young children, and we count them a joy and a blessing. (There are changing tables in both restrooms.)
  • All parts of our facilities are handicap accessible.
  • All of our services are in English.
  • If you are an Orthodox Christian, and you have prepared yourself to receive Holy Communion according to your Spiritual Father's direction, you are welcome to approach the chalice.
Becoming Orthodox

If you're interested in becoming an Orthodox Christian, glory to God! There is a process to becoming Orthodox; you can read about it at this link. The very first steps, however, are these: come to the church, attend actual services, meet flesh-and-blood Orthodox Christians, and talk with Fr Michael. As St Andrew said to St Peter, "Come and see." Please do not rely exclusively on reading books or websites for information about the Faith; in every case it will be inadequate. Orthodoxy is life. We don't get it by reading about it. We get it by living it. Come and let us help you to enter into the abundant life that Christ promises us.

Sounds great! What should I do next?

We've worked very hard to make our parish the wonderful place that it is. Still, we're always humbled when someone chooses to become a part of our community. You are a blessing to us!

Whether you're an Orthodox Christian or not, if you want to join the parish, simply let Fr Michael know. He'll arrange a time to discuss it with you, answer any questions you may have, go over our expectations for members, tell you about the services that we are able to provide, and help you find a place to contribute your time and talents. If you're not yet Orthodox, but would like to be, continue on here...
